"Mrs. Martha Brown" could be Martha (Whipple) Brown, d/o
Major John Whipple and wife Catherine
, b. Ipswich 1 Apr 1682, the widow of Rev. Richard Brown of Reading. Richard Brown, d. 20 Oct 1732. "His wife who survived him returned to Newbury with the children" [where they had lived prior to his ordination in Reading in 1712]. None of the sources show either a subsequent marriage or give a death date for her, however. (References:
