She married her first cousin, John Griffith, who was the son of her father's sister, Eve Faulkner Griffith who married Thomas Griffith.

They were disowned by the Quaker membership for marrying because of their close blood relationship.

Alice died comparatively young and John married another Quaker girl, Lydia Wilson, who expressed sorrow for her "marrying out," but John Griffith refused to do so and remained without the pale.
