  4. The marriage record and probate of Daniel Livermore make it clear that the bride is the widow of Daniel Livermore, but all we know of her husband John Goodenow is that he is "of Sudbury", and no sources have been found that identify him further. Since John Goodenow lost his previous wife in 1723, he would be a prime candidate to [re]marry, and he is only 10 years older than Mary, which is very appropriate at their stages of life. Unfortunately John rewrote his will in 1723 after Sarah died, but didn't rewrite it, indicating he either didn't marry Mary, or he never changed his will to reflect having a wife again. Unfortunately, the probate file has no papers of any settlement, so either there no wife to give a dower, or an agreement registered as a deed made it unnecessary, or the papers were lost. So we have no evidence that this John Goodenow is the right husband except that we can eliminate all others.
