John Franklin a resident of the town of Hanover in the County aforesaid [Chautauqua, New York] ... [who] doth on his oath make the following declaration ... That he was born in the town of Rehoboth County of Bristol and State of Massachusetts in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty three on the twenty seventh day of October in that year, when he was four years old he removed to the town of Winchester in the County of Cheshire and State of New Hampshire and resided there until he was twenty years old and then removed to Swanzy the Town adjoining and resided there 18 or 19 years and then removed to the town of Trenton in County of Oneida and State of New York and resided there five years and then removed to Ellisburg Jefferson County New York and resided there until thirteen years ago and then removed to the Town of Hanover County of Chautauqua and State of New York where he now resides.'
