- ↑ Source:Allred, Marilyn. Town of Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Genealogical Records 1739-1900, Births, Marriages,, p. 102, identifies the husband of this 1781 marriage as a man b. Orange 1827, d. 1881, age just shy of 55! Clearly, this is impossible, and in fact, no part of the identification belongs to the actual husband. Allred's subject, whose name is actually Jonathan, not John, but matching the indicated parents, occupation, death date, age and burial location (Allred miscalculated his birth by a month - November minus 11 months is December, it is recorded as 8 Dec 1826 per Orange records) is a grandson of the actual husband.
The identification of the husband as John Forristall born in Holliston in 1762 is based on Holliston being specified as John's birthplace on the death record of his son Eli, and based on the similarities with his sister Thankful Forristall whose marriage is also recorded in Warwick as Forrester.
