  2. Secondary sources identify the husband as John Fisk of Templeton, but give nothing further. Ruth's Find A Grave memorial page quotes Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Fiske and Fisk Family Being the Record of Symond Fiske, Lord of the Manor of Stadhaugh, Suffolk County, England, p. 124, but it turns out the entry has been heavily edited and while it tries to borrow the authority of Pierce's work, it gives assertions that are not in Pierce's book. Most notably, it gives John Fisk a different wife (Ruth) than Pierce does (Anna Blood). Yet, John is born in Groton, and Groton records show John Fisk m. Anna Blood in 1775 and having several children there. Why the memorial page thinks Pierce is wrong is not explained, and it does not appear that he is. By appearances, the memorial page is stealing the only John Fisk it found, records be damned? Assuming Pierce is right, as it appears from the records, no candidate has been identified for John Fisk (unable to locate gravestone, age at death, probate, deeds).
