Utica Daily Press, 9 Sept 1929: DURGEE-DETLEFSEN Miss Amelia Theresa Detlefsen, 2 Rose Place, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Detlefsen, and John Spencer Durgee, 114 Olbinton Apartments, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Durgee, were married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon by Rev. F.B. Hoffman, pastor. The matron of honor was Mrs. C.L. Barton of Monterey Park, Calif. and the best man was Edmund Durgee, brother of the bridegroom. Barbara Eastman of Camden was flower girl and Bobby Barton of Monterey Park, Calif. was ring bearer. Ushers were Arthur Keuerlaber and Elmer Owen. Mrs. Mark Barlow sang and Mrs. Edward Juergensen was at the organ. Violin solos were played by Gustave Detlefsen. After the ceremony a reception and dinner was held at Hotel Marlin, after which Mr. and Mrs. Durgee left for a 10 days' trip through Canada. On their return they will live at 124 Boyce AV. Miss Detlefsen was formerly employed at the local office of the Associated Knit Underwear Manufacturers of America. Mr. Durgee is employed by the Durr Packing Company.
