John Dix d. 1722, m. Mary Bidwell. Names wife Sarah in will and Sarah joins in deed in 1698.
[Note: a host of children are baptized 1686-1689, but no birth dates given or estimated for other children.]

  2. Torrey gives "abt. 1692/5?". The imprecision of his estimates gives little confidence that the estimate has much basis. His two sources are the probate file ([1]) and the History of Marlborough by Hudson (here), which appears based on a document in the father's probate file (see father's page) where "John Dix and Sarah Dix his wife of the Town of Hartford in the County of Hartford in the Colony of Connectticot" in 1708/09 quitclaim their rights to the estate of "our father Richard Barnes Late of Marlborough" to their brother Richard Barnes. Neither of these would appear to justify any particular date, though the fact of the marriage seems clear.
