He was the son of John Hartwell Cocke, the son of Hartwell, who was the son of Richard Cocke. Mrs. Ann Blows Barraud Cocke d. at Bremo Recess, Fluvanna Co., Va., 27th Dec. 1816, in the 31st year of her age, and had child., viz.,
