Is this one family or two?

Some of the children were baptized so close together that one wonders if there were 2 John Carpenter's in Merton having children during the same years. If so, Gregory and Henry definitely belonged to the John who married Katherine and died in 1611 (all 3 mentioned in John's will).

On the other hand, some of the children may have died young, and Frances might have been born prematurely, although it is not unheard of for children to be born 11 months apart.
