MALDEN, MO. -- John Mart Bostic, 85, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Bostic was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Malden. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Malden, a charter member of Rotary in 1953 and was a past president. He also was Boy Scout Leader of Troop 175 since 1965; and a Lions Club member in Malden.
He also was a member of the Malden American Legion, the Malden City Council for 16 years; a member of the Malden Trade School Board; a member of the Chevrolet American Dealers.
Mr. Bostic also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended the University of Missouri and was a member of SAE Fraternity.
He was a former auto dealership owner and had retired.
On April 5, 1952, he was married to Ann Ritchey in Malden. She preceded him in death on Dec. 31, 2011.
Surviving are one son, [Living] of Bartlesville, Okla.; one daughter, [Living] of Malden; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in Bradshaw Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hoyt officiating.

MALDEN, Mo. -- Ann Ritchey Bostic, 78, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Bostic was born Sept. 4, 1933, in Newbern, Tenn. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Malden, on the Dunklin County Library Board, a nursing home volunteer and involved with the Hall of Honor, the Historical Museum and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Bostic was retired as co-owner of an auto dealership.
On April 5, 1952, she married John Mart Bostic in Malden. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, [Living] of Bartlesville, Okla.; one daughter, [Living] of Malden; two sisters, [Living] of Franklin, Tenn., and [Living] of Malden; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. today at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. today with the Rev. Jim Hoyt officiating.
