Genealogy of the Descendants of Joseph Bartlett of Newton, Mass. for Seven Generations, p. 17, says, "In an undated report ... her name is given as Patience Cady, but I have been unable to find any record in substantiation." Source:Allen, Orrin Peer. Descendants of Nicholas Cady of Watertown, Mass., 1645-1910, p. 35, shows John's wife as Patience Cady, eldest daughter [per probate] of Nicholas Cady and Patience Redland. No proof is given, but naming a son Nicholas seems suggestive plus William, Susannah, and Joanna would be the names of Patience Cady's siblings.
