Childless?

To date, Theresa; "Tressa," is not known to have ever had any biological children of her own, from either of her two marriages. Tressa co-raised her step-children, John Quentin Bailey and Ona Marylyn Bailey, from her second husband's first marriage.

Engagement

Tressa bacame a close friend of Ona Elizabeth Bailey, the first wife of her second husband John Wesley Bailey, after meeting the Bailey couple following their migration to Colorado from Iowa in the late 1920's. On 14 October 1926; Tressa became widowed, ending her first marriage to Alexander Lathan Ware. John Wesley became a widower on 28 September 1931, after Ona Elizabeth experienced birth related complications from giving birth to Ona Marylyn Bailey on the night of 26 September. John proposed to Tressa soon after as a single father of two. They married on Tressa's 42nd birthday.
