(V)John, sixth child of Ebenezer and Abigail Abbey, was born in Windham, Connecticut, August 23, 1743. He settled at Bellows Falls, Connecticut, where he died. He served in the revolutionary war as a private of the Continental army. He married, April 27, 1768, Dorothy Bugbee, and had issue.
