Notes for JOHN ZENT: Family tradition and some accounts claim that John died at the age of 107. It would appear that this account is in error, based upon sources found to date. John served in the Pennsylvania Militia 1790-1800 in Colonel Valentine Shoufflers Regiment No. 4 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. (Penn Archives 6th series, Vol. 5, p. 289)
John Lentz (s/b Zent?) with: 1 male 16+, 2 females (note: this listing is on same page as Martin, Ludwig and Christian Shuey) This listing also would have agreed with John's family in 1790 before his son Jacob was born. At the time, John and Barbara had 1 daughter, Betsey, born in 1788.
