  2. The births records for this family in Northbridge VRs seem confused. They give the birth of Joseph White in 1784 but the death of John in 1791 in his 8th year suggesting both events are the same person. They have the twins Moses and Aaron born in either 1785, or 1789. Source:Hall, David Brainerd. Halls of New England, Genealogical and Biographical, p. 38, shows Joseph b. 11 Jun 1786, no son John, nor twins Moses and Aaron. This appears to be based on notes provided by Mary Plaisted (Batcheller) Ballou, who could very well have no knowledge of those dying young, being of a later generation. The filmed records (e.g., here) are a copy made in 1881, and appear to have been re-ordered by date instead of preserving the original order, meaning any clues that a date has been mistranscribed would be lost in the re-ordering. What appears most logical is that Moses and Aaron, the twins, were born in 1789, not 1785, that Joseph was born in 1786 as noted by Hall, and that it was John who was born 1784 and died 1791, but his birth date was miscopied as Josephs.
