Joel Allen Cooper was born in Delaware Co. Ohio January 5, 1840 and on October 14, 1861 he married Mary Samantha Huffman who was born September 15, 1838 and passed away September 1, 1866 and was laid to rest in Scotts Prairie Cemetery south of Hillsboro and on February 21, 1870 he married Blanche Mayfield Dye who was born April 10, 1851 and they resided in Oakland, Ill. Joel passed away September 1, 1935 and was laid to rest in "The Oakland Cemetery. Blanche passed away March 6, 1922 and was also laid to rest there, as well as many of their children. There were eleven children in all. The first two I believe belonged to Mary S. and the rest to Blanche.

1. Ida May Cooper was born July 2, 1863 in Fountain Co. and on December 8, 1891 she married Daniel Glascock Harding who was born September 26, 1857 and passed away March 18, 1927. I'm not sure if they are buried at Waynetown or in Ill. It must be Ill. I checked my Waynetown Cemetery records and they are not listed there. Ida Passed away May 27, 1940. They had two children:
a. Claude Glyndon Harding was born April 8, 1893 near Hillsboro in Fountain Co. on September 6, 1914 he was united in marriage with Tina Elizabeth Clark who was born December 3, 1889, the daughter of Albin and Dora (Mead) Clark. Claude passed away May 8, 1965 and Tina on September 16, 1951 and they were both laid to rest in Rockfield Cemetery. They were the parents of four children:
b. Daisy Undine Harding was born in Fountain Co, In. January 29, 1898 and on October 14, 1922 she married Harry Verner Hutson who was born June 1, 1884 and passed away May 26, 1969. Undine passed away August 16, 1966 and I'm not sure where they are buried, I believe at Waynetown but not certain. They were the parents of ten children:

2. Emory Linden Cooper was born in Fountain Co. In. on October 14, 1865 and passed away September 11, 1866 and was laid to rest in Scotts Prairie Cemetery.

3. Baby boy Cooper, born December 9, 1870 in Lawrence Co. III and passed away December 14, 1870 and I'm not sure if he is buried in Lawrence Co. or in the Oakland Cemetery.

4. Cameron Cooper, born April 28, 1872 in Lawrence Co. and passed away November 13, 1877.

5. Burtie Cooper was born March 10, 1874 and passed away November 23, 1877. This was in Lawrence Co. also. They both died of Diptheria.

6. Maude Cooper was born July 10, 1876 and passed away on July 24, 1901 and I am sure that she was laid to rest in The Oakland Cemetery. I'm not for sure but Oakland may be in Lawrence Co.

7. Mabel Cooper was born in Lawrence Co. Ill. on July 10, 1876 and in 1901 she married James H. Dunseth. They were divorced but had one child. Mabel passed away in 1931 and was laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery.
a. Mary Cooper Dunseth, died young

8. Everett P. Cooper was born February 21, 1881 in Oakland and married first Eva Curtis. She was born in 1889 and passed away in 1903 and was laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery. His second wife was Lula Vinetta; third Dolly Maple and fourth Tina Bradford. Everett passed away in Terre Haute, In. and was laid to rest in Oakland. I believe he was cremated and his ashes brought back to Oakland and buried on his first wife's grave. There were no children.

9. Daisy M. Cooper was born in Lawrence Co. December 28, 1882 and passed away March 29, 1982 in Chicago, Ill. and was returned to Oakland for burial. She never married.

10. Joel Kenneth Cooper was born in Hume Ill. September 18, 1890 and married Edna Blanche Reel ad they had five children, but were divorced and she married Milton Burt and he passed away June 28, 1964. I have no information on when she passed away, but he passed away August 8, 1968 in Los Angeles and was returned to Oakland for burial. The children are as follows:
a. Ellen Louise Cooper was born March 2, 1909 in St. Louis, and passed away in September 1926.
b. John William Cooper was born April 10, 1910 and on May 30, 1936 he married Eva May Worthy. There was no issue.
c. Alice Maude Cooper was born December 30, 1912 in Lawrence Co. III and she married Harry Beneche who was born April 29, 1907. They were married in Alton Ill. They are the parents of two children:
d. Lemuel Kenneth Cooper was born in Oakland, Ill. on April 7, 1915 and, in Alton, III he married Frances Snyder. Lemuel passed away July 27, 1966 and they lived in Toledo, Ohio and I assume that is where he is buried. They have three children:
e. Mable Marie Cooper was born October 1, 1917 in Oakland, Ill. and she married Herbert Dennis and they had four children:

11. Elward Allen Cooper was born June 21, 1894 and passed away July 7, 1894 and was laid to rest in Presbyterian Cemetery at Hume Ill.
