The next record we have is that Jarvis Mudge married the widow of Abraham Elsing, of Wethersfield, in 1649, and removed to the new settlement, called Pequot, in the Pequot country, which, in a few years after, took the name of New London, Conn.
6 December, 1649 - This Court doth sequester the Howse, Homelott and Meadow of the Relict of Abraham Elsing, now the wife of Jaruis Mudge.
