1797. Jan. 13. Jared Tolls and Diademay Mack both of Montague married by Rev. Judah Nash.
[Note: see also, p. 10 "Jared Tolls and Diadema Mack both of Montague published Jan'y 15, 1797". The marriage record appears squeezed in, and given the date intentions were published, it seems possible that the marriage date may have been mis-recorded?]

  2. There seem to be virtually no primary records on Jared Tolles other than some deeds. Jared is covered in Source:Tolles, William Marshall. Tolles in America, p. 367-368, but little of the information can be verified, and appears to originate with correspondents of the author. Based on Franklin deed Vol. 8, p. 717, Jared Tolles Jr. was of Woodbridge in 1796, Vol. 11, p. 166 of Montague by 1797, Vol. 24, p. 62 of Erving by 1805, Vol. 23, p. 205 of Warwick by 1806. Vol. 26, p. 346 shows a Jared Tolles with wife Mabel living in Montague in 1809 (when Jared Jr. is in Warwick), presumably his parents. Vol. 10, p. 275 shows an Elisha Mack with wife Dierdema living in Montague in 1797, presumably his wife's parents (Vol. 17, p. 413 suggests they moved to Westmoreland, NH, by 1803). The Tolles book says Jared Jr. moved to Ohio about 1817, where he died 1818.
