"… In 1712, administration on the estate of Mary Hill of New Haven, deceased, was granted to Henry Turhand of Wallingford; and the estate was distributed to her son Henry, daughter Mary wife of Israel Barnes, and the heirs of her daughter Sarah Wright, deceased (New Haven Probate Records, vol. 4, pp. 55, 89)."

From this entry, we infer (1) Mary Hill's daughter Sarah (Wise) had married a Wright; (2) Sarah was deceased; (3) Sarah had one or more children who were still living. If the James Wright who married Submit Buell in 1743 were the son of Sarah, he would have to have been born by 1709 and would have been 34 at the time of the marriage (Submit B. was born in 1720). There appears to be no way to determine whether Sarah Wise or Judith Bushnell was the mother of the younger James, but Judith seems the more likely candidate.
