It is quite possible that (James)Willard Simmons may have worked alongside or for Eva's step-father, William Brady, in the lumber business. We first see Willard and Eva as a couple in the 1910 census living with his widowed mother, Annie Simmons and their small son Edgar, named for his grandfather, Edgar Ligon.
