" James R Norrie, Shipyard Clerk, Batchelor, age 25, of 22 Cross St Partick, married Janet R Savage, Domestic Servant, Spinster, age 20, of 90 Hozier St Partick. This was on the 2nd day of March 1911, at 50 Wellington St, Glasgow, in the presence of Archibald Lindsay Mc Caskie a Tramway Driver and Elizabeth McGregor a Domestic Servant. James' parents are given as James Crane Norrie, Paper Mill Worker (Deceased) and Norrie Norrie, maiden surname Ritchie (deceased). Janet's parents are Daniel Savage, Stonemason, and Barbara Savage, maiden surname Jardine (deceased)."
