Lowell records, both the published form, and the records submitted to the state Source:Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records, 1841–1910, Vol. 2, pp. 389 and 396, show two marriages in Lowell on 15 Sep 1842 for Harriet Heald: one to James Crombie and Enoch Ordway. Two different ministers are named on the two records. It is natural to suspect that the town clerk copied a name from the line above, but Find A Grave suggests this is actually two separate marriages. There seems to be neither birth nor death records for Enoch Ordway's wife Harriet Heald, but it can be clearly established from the death record of James Crombie's wife that she was the daughter of John Heald, b. Carlisle 1816.
