Married ... "At Billy Church, by the Rev. Wm. Stewart, Mr. James Cargill, to Mrs. Isabella Matthews, both of Mallindober."
Most (but not all) of the rest of the marriages reported clearly occurred near the end of July.

James Cargill, born in Ireland, age 96 Isabella Cargill, born in Ireland, age 61
- The first 3 or 4 of these children were not likely the children of this marriage. They could be the children of James from his first, or an unknown second, marriage, or the children of Isabella from her previous marriage, or a combination of both. William's and Mary Jane's death records identify their mother as Isabella Matthew(s). Henry and Martha's records don't identify their mother.
Henry and Martha appear to be twins based on their death records (although the birth year might not be accurate on one or both), even though their ages were different by a year on the New York Passenger List.
- ↑ The New York Passenger List and 1861 census confirm that Isabella married James Cargill senior, not his son James Cargill.
