Marriage Bond

Bond for Know all men by these Presants, that we Jacob Coons and Patrick Scott of Blount County, State of Alabama are held and firmly bound unto the Governor of said State for the time being and his successors in office, __ the Sum? of two hundred Dollars, for the use of said State - for the due payment whereof we hereby bind ourselves and our heirs, jointly and severally - Witness our hands and Seals this 29th day of September 1829.

The Condition of the above obligation is such that the said Jacob Coons hath this day prayed a License from the Clerk of the County Court of Blount County to be married to Gracy Scott. Now if there is no Lawful cause to obstruct said marriage, these the above obligation to the void, otherwise to Remain in full force.
