The authors (p. 21) also include a possible daughter Mary – "Poss. Mary Brown bp. Newman Cong. Ch. 6 June 1725 (at time of marriage). The index number 60 is assigned to her. On pp. 88-89, that information is repeated with a statement that, "She married intention at Rehoboth 5 June 1725 Isaac Brown of Barrington (see #47)." On pp. 72-73, the wife of index number 47, Isaac Brown, is identified as the Mary Brown who was born at Rehoboth 18 January 1702 … daughter of Nathaniel and Sarah (Jenks) Brown. Nathaniel's 1738 will names his daughter Mary Brown, deceased, and her only surviving child, his grandson, Peleg Brown. Based on this identification, it seems highly unlikely that Mary Brown, wife of Isaac Brown, was the daughter of Jabez and Jane (_____) Brown.[1]
