Prescott Memorial, or, A Genealogical Memoir of the Prescott Families in America identifies Isaish's 2nd wife as widow Bird, though there is nothing in the marriage record that explicitly identifies her as a widow. There is no explanation of whether the author found evidence to support that conclusion or if it is strictly an assumption. However, given the age and situation of Isaiah, it is probably not an unreasonable assumption. The deaths in Westford show the death of Samuel Bird on 24 Jul 1807 at age 55 who is likely Sally's first husband. Also shown is the death of a Thomas Bird in 1810 at age 28, b. abt. 1782, who may be a son, though there doesn't seem to be a record of his birth to confirm this. Also of interest may be the intentions of Samuel Bird and Sally Elwell in Gloucester in 1790, but there seems to be little information available that could confirm that is connected, either.
