Lucinda/Bettie and some of the children died of measles while Isaac was serving in the Union Army, Civil War. She was born in what is now Boone County, WV, to John and Sarah Lawrence.

The Lambert Papers, cited below, are a wealth of information as Oral Tradition written down in the 1940's by Fred Lambert, a retired school principal. A truly remarkable amount of information available nowhere else.
