- ↑ Humphrey Moore hasn't been identified. They only have two known children, b. 1838 and 1840. Anna's remarriage in 1851 suggests he died, but no death record is found. An interesting possibility is divorce, though no evidence has been found. However, this man in Maryland, based on birthplace in Mass., and age, could possibly be him? (See marriage in 1844, censuses in 1850 (line 8), 1860 (line 33), 1870 (line 9), and 1880 (line 35), gravestone). No data on Anna's husband Humphrey Moore is available to let us know if this is reasonable or not. One piece of circumstantial evidence that supports this speculation, however, is the fact that their son Charles served in the Civil War with a Maryland regiment (see the gravestone cited on his page).
