Henry Pillow will 1828
In the name of God amen I Henery Pillow of Caunaquenessing Township Butler County being sick and weak of body but of sound and disposing min and memory praise be god for the same and and considering the certainty of death and the uncertaintly of the time therof and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me home do thereby [sic] make and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say first and principally I recommend my soul to Almighty God my Creator hoping for free pardon and - remission of all my sins and to enjoy everlasting happiness in his heavinly Kingdom through Jesus Christ my Saviour
my body I commit to the earth, at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and that all my deth and general expenses be paid as soon after my decease as conveniently may be and as to such worldly estate werewith it hath pleased God to intrust me with I dispose of the same as follows Viz I give and bequeath to my Dear wife Sarah the one third of my Chattle property and the one third of the profit of my real Estate during her life but in case she prefers to live with her son William she is to be kept by him free of expense as it is my will and desire that my said son William Pillow should have all my real Estate entire by him giving to my Daughter Elizabeth one hundred Dollars I also in addition give and bequeath to my said daughter Elizabeth one bed and bedding the same now claimes together with her spinning Wheel the residue of my personal Estate I allow to be equally divided between
