Caution

While all the individual sourced baptisms, marriages, burials and wills in this family are true, there is no certainty that they all belong to the same family. The Henry Best who was buried in 1572 and the Henry Best whose will was proved in 1628 were both of Holdsworth, so they were likely father and son. Whether the baptism of the son (living some 3-4 miles away from Holdsworth) is the correct one is uncertain. The family could have moved from Harley to Holdsworth/Ovenden between 1553 and 1557.
