"Marjorie Green Becomes Bride of Henderson Stern Four O'clock Ceremony To Be Held Sunday at First Church, Swampscott Tall baskets of white gladioli, ferns and palms will decorate the chancel and altar of the First Church (Congregational) Swampscott, Sunday afternoon for the four o'clock wedding of Miss Marjorie Farnsworth Green, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heywood Green of 2 Morton Road, Beach Bluff, and Henderson Arthur Stern, son of Mrs. Arthur Stern of 80 Lafayette Park. The Rev. Roy Minich of the Malden Congregational Church will perform the double ring ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Leonard J. Kramer, minister of the Swampscott church. The bride, escorted by her father will have as attendants her sister, Miss Doris Phillips Green, maid of honor; Miss Eunice Hull, Miss Winifred Hatch, Miss Shirley Thomson and Miss Myrtle Peirce of Arlington, bridesmaids. Stuart Goodnow of Danvers will be the best man and Charles L. Green of Swampscott, brother of the bride, will be head usher with others in the corps including Freeman Spindell of Tyngsboro, Earl Clark and Clifford Colley of Lynn. There will be a reception immediately after the services in the vestry. Miss Louise Brooks and Mrs. Lincoln Robbins, both of Swampscott, will have charge of the guest book. Mr. Stern and his bride will spend their honeymoon in the White Mountains. Miss Green, a graduate of Swampscott High school and Lesley Kindergarten school, Cambridge, also attended New England Conservatory. Mr. Stern, son of the late Arthur Stern, Lynn Jeweler, is a graduate of English High School and attended Clark School in Hanover, N.H., and Brown University.
