    'Hans Heinrich Reiff [son of Jacob and Annali (Tanner) Ryeff], b. 19 Mar 1622, Wädenswil. He married on 9 Mar 1652 at Wädenswil to Anna Hitz (b. 30 Mar 1617). She was the daughter of Jörg and Elsbeth (Oberholzer) Hitz of Wädenswil. He was living with his wife and son Michael in the household of his brother Joseph in 1654 at Zweierhof in Wädenswil. ... Hans Heinrich was called an Anabaptist when he was living at Wädenswil in 1670 with his wife, ... In 1678 the Wädenswil church minister wrote that Heinrich was "a Wiedertäufer" [Anabaptist] and that he secretly left the village in January 1673 taking his son Joseph with him to the Pfalz. He was in the Ibersheim area in the Pfalz by 1680 as that is about the time his son Michael married Küngold Hiestand of Ibersheim. Heinrich was listed as a Mennonite and living at Ibersheim in the Pfalz in 1685 ... In 1687 the minister wrote that Hans Heinrich had been a member of the Reformed Church and converted to the Anabaptist religion and left secretly. ... The minister tried to talk the Reiffs into returning but only Hans Heinrich's brother Joseph returned.'
