"Weds Man She Eluded Miss Nettie Haskell of Lynn Bride of Guy L. Wardwell in Midnight Marriage Lynn, May 24 - Returning home yesterday after an absence of several days, Miss Nettie Haskell was married at 12:10 this morning at her parents' home to Guy L. Wardwell, the man from whom she had run away. Since last Thursday evening the 20-year-old girl had been missing. It was for that evening that the marriage had been planned, but the girl seemed not to approve of her parents' choice, so she went to Malden. She said that she loved John K. Smith of Bath, Me. What caused the girl to change her mind again is not known, but, having come home, she evidently was ready for the match. Rev. C.W. Shattuck of the Advent Christian Church performed the midnight ceremony. "And I really loved Mr. Wardwell all the time," said the bride."
