The Dispatch, Alameda, SK, Nov 8, 1940:
Wedding Bells - Hume - MoffatS2
A quiet wedding took place on Thursday, October 24, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Moffat, when their daughter, Janet Langdale, became the bride of Mr. G. E. Hume, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Hume, of Carlyle. Only the immediate relatives of the bride and groom were present. Rev. W. Arnett, of Frobisher, officiated, and the wedding march was played by Miss Alice Hume. The bride was given in marriage by her father. A solo, "Down the Vale" was sung by Mr. Charles Dougherty, of Auburnton, uncle of the groom, accompanied on the piano by Miss Alice Hume, while the register was being signed. The bride wore a blue sheer crepe gown. A lovely buffet wedding breakfast was served, the table being centered by a three-tiered wedding cake. After a short honeymoon in Regina, Mr. and Mrs. Hume will reside south of Carlyle, in the Dalesboro district-- Contributed.
