Joanna Cooper was born in Delaware Co. Ohio July 7, 1844 and after coming to Indiana with her parents and while living in Cain Twp. of that Co. she met, and on January 1, 1865 she married George W. Bever. He was born in 1837, the son of Joseph and Barbara (Cain) Bever. This family moved to Kansas sometime after 1880 as this was the last census I found them in, Indiana. They had a total of eleven children. Joanna passed away May 8, 1918 in Girard Kansas and was laid to rest there, along with George who passed away in 1936.
1. John Bever was born in Fountain Co. in 1866 and died at a young age.

2. Rosetta Bever was born March 2, 1867, married Elmer Rosenberg and they had one daughter. Rosetta passed away September 27, 1950 and I have no information on him at all.
a. Leona Rosenberg, married a man named Emmerson and they had two children.

3. Eva Bever was born May 7, 1864 and married Will Frazier. I have no information on him but Eva passed away in 1959 and was laid to rest in Pittsburgh, Kansas. They had two children:
a. Ethel Frazier, married Abner Tewell (1889-1954)
b. An adopted son.

4. James Bever, born in July 1871 and on November 14, 1897 in Girard Kansas he married Ida Brown. They had three children and resided in Kansas City Missouri. The children are:
a. Violet Bever
b. Pansy Bever
c. Gladys Bever

5. Ida Bever was born in 1872 in Fountain Co. and in Girard, Kansas she married Archie Henry and they had four children:
a. George Henry
b. Miles Henry
c. John Henry
d. Marion Henry

6. Grace Bever, for some reason I have no information on her, no dates, anyway, but she was born in Fountain Co. and married Charles Henry. If you pay close attention to this family there were several of Joanna's children that married people with the name of Henry. I assume they too are brothers and sisters, but I have no proof of this. This family resided in Hollywood Ca. and had three children:
a. Ernest Henry
b. Charles (Max) Henry
c. Buster Henry

7. Cora Alice Bever was born in Fountain Co. and on March 12, 1899 she married Max E. Holzer who was born January 11.1874 in Girard Kansas and passed away August 27, 1945. They had two children:
a. Emma Holzer, married Ira Blakely Coon, born May 7, 1887 in Millgrove Mo.. I have a date of 1942 and I assume it is the date that they were married from the space I have it in, but it could be the year she passed away, but anyone interested can look for both. There were no children.
b. Orval E. Holzer

8. Miles Bever was born in Fountain Co. in 1878 and married Anna Rose Henry and there were four children:
a. A daughter Rose Bever, no further
b. Reona Bever, born August 9, 1910 in California
c. Orena Bever, born August 9, 1910
d. Ramona Bever, born August 9, 1910
As you can see these three were triplets and reside in California. (Photo follows)

9. Bessie Bever was born in Fountain Co. February 6, 1880, was a Christian Science reader and married Hiram A. Holzer and they had one daughter:
a. Thelma Holzer

10. Lucinda Bever, born in Kansas and died very young.

11. Ernest G. Bever, also born in Kansas, married Gertie Hurtner. They lived in Amarillo, Texas and had two children of which both died in infancy.

This concludes all the information that I have on Joanna’s family and most of it was gained from Mary K. Strong, but some of the dates were kept by my Grandfather Charles M. Cooper.
