In The Visitation of Berkshire, 1665-66 [57 Harleian Society Publications, 228.] there is recorded the pedigree of the Wilkinsons descended from one Roger Wilkinson, of Barnesley, Yorkshire. It shows that one of his great-grandsons was Thomas, of Ealand, who died in 1603, leaving a son Gabriel, of Upper Winchenden, vicar of Bishops Wooburn, in co. Bucks, who married Margery, daughter of Richard Baker, of Uxbridge, co. Middlesex, and had Thomas, William, John (apparently died in infancy), Margaret, Mary, another John, Arthur, Richard, Matthew, Gabriel, and Robert. ...
