Winthrop Brooke Dies at Winona, Kansas
Word has been received here of the death of Winthrop Brooke, Nov. 25th, at Winona, Kansas, at the age of 46 years. Mr. Brooke will be remembered here as the son of Rev. and Mrs. F. E. Brooke, pastor if the United Brethren Church here in the 90's. It was under the pastorate of Rev. Brooke that the first United Brethren church was built here, we are informed.
Deceased was county attorney at the time of his passing. He was a graduate of Leander-Clark College at Toledo, Iowa and of Drake University.
He is survived by his mother, his wife (Esther H.) and a 9-year-old son (Franklin E.).
He was the son of Franklin Ellsworth and Effie Celeste Boone-Brooke.
