Polly Swan, eldest child of Elijah, married Foxwell Swan, her cousin, son of James, Jr., and Hannah (Shatttuck) Swan of Bethel. They lived on part of the Wm. Berry farm, on the east side of the East Branch, and she died there, and he married widow Hall. They had:
