Ezra's first wife is called Abigail Pond in all sources, and Edith Bartlett Sumner gives arguments that she must have been daughter of William Pond of Dorchester [Farr Anc 62, 230-31]. If Ezra's wife was in fact a Pond, then Sumner's arguments are convincing, but no evidence was found that she was a Pond.
