THOUGHTS: 19 Mar 2002 The Earls Colne parish records for marriage show a marriage between Ephraim Hunnix and Ann Raven on 25 Dec 1781. I believe that the date was miswritten and should have been 1791. The first marriage recorded on this same page was dated March 1791, two marriages including Ephraim and Ann's were then recorded as 25 Dec 1781 and the last marriage on this page was dated March 1792. If the marriage did take place in 1781 and was not recorded for ten years Ephriam would have been 12 at the time of their marriage and Ann 11. Then a gap of 11 yrs before their first child was born in 1792. While this could happen, it is more likely that the dates on the two marriages performed on 25 Dec 1791 were miswritten as 1781.
