I believe the S1 source to be incorrect. TB Wyman on page 285 quotes the inscription of Johns gravestone. Only one problem, he misread the inscription! Or trusted someone else who did. It doesnt say "...in ye 78th year of his life" The actual inscription is "in ye 70th year of his life". There's some great photos on the findagrave memorial taken by some outstanding researcher/photographer. So if you take Johns death year of 1724 and subtract the "70" years of age you get a birth year of 1654, not 1646. Wyman subtracted 78 years from the 1724 death year to come up with the 1646 birth year.. And since Ephraim had his 4th son William with another women, Ebbet Brimsmeade, in 1655 than that puts John as the 3rd child. Thomas Hunt is the eldest according to a 1688 deposition in which 2 men claim to have known Thomas as a child and knew he and his father Ephraim but in England. They refer to Thomas, who was present, in this deposition as "the eldest son" of Ephraim. I'm not looking for money, just to bring out the truth. But like all human beings we like to be recognized for great finds like this. So please a little credit for these finds would be nice.
