Elijah Webster, bap. Aug. 25, 1793, m. Lucy Allen, a sister of Lemuel Allen of Penfield, N. Y., and Delia Allen who m. his brother Chauncey Dutton Webster. He served in the war of 1812 as a private from June 29 to Oct. 19, 1812, in Cap. Caleb Harrington's Co., enlisting at Penfield, N. Y. He applied for a land warrant March 12, 18.55, giving his age 62 years, and res. Henrietta, Monroe Co., N. Y. Warrant allowed. April 28, 1807, Elijah Webster of Pittsford, Ontario Co., N. Y. (Monroe Co. was not set off yet) buys land there, of Joseph Blake of Billirica, Middlesex Co., Mass. Jan. 27, 1852, Elijah Webster of Henrietta, Monroe Co., N. Y., made his Will, which was probated Sep. 5, 1859, in which bequests are made to his wife, Lucy; my sons, Ransford Webster, Martin Webster and Bradley Webster; my daughters, Emily Case, Delia Peets, and Lorana King. Executors, Martin Webster and S. B. King. Witnesses, Ephriam Goss and Ephraim Hopkins. March 27, 1858, Elijah Webster and Lucy his wife sell to James Tobin, evidently given not long before his death.
