↑ Source:Adams, Andrew N. Genealogical History of Henry Adams, of Braintree, Mass., and His Descendants, p. 400, says that Elijah's first wife d. 14 Feb 1778. No such death record has been found, and while this source appears to misidentify the first white, that would not necessarily affect the applicability of a death record, being Deborah the wife of Elijah in both cases. No other Elihah Adams is obvious for the marriage to Hannah Prest, his son being too young, and so this alleged death date suggests it is this Elijah Adams (even though the Adams Genealogy doesn't list it).
