↑ The vital records give the birth of Rachel 4 Jun 1770 and Rhoda as 26 Nov 1771. This would suggest the marriage record is wrong and should say 1 Jan 1770. However, Source:Atkins, William Giles. History of the Town of Hawley, Franklin County, Massachusetts, from Its Settlement in 1771 to 1887 gives Rachel's birth as 4 Jun 1771 and Rhoda as 26 Nov 1772, these dates possibly recorded after both daughters married and moved to Hawley. This suggests that possibly both births were misrecorded. It is not clear which situation is correct, without more information.
