  2.   This marriage is not mentioned in Source:Tappan, Daniel Langdon. Tappan-Toppan Genealogy : Ancestors and Descendants of Abraham Toppan of Newbury, Massachusetts, 1606-1672. The only apparent candidate is Elizabeth, d. Abraham and Esther, b. Newbury 1718, but she married 1738 Henry Rolfe. Due to the age of Eleazer, and the number of children he and Elizabeth had, checking recent Toppan marriages to a woman named Elizabeth identifies an Elizabeth Titcomb who m. 1734 Joseph Toppan, s/o John Toppan and Judith Moody. No details are given for Joseph after his marriage to Elizabeth Titcomb in the Toppan Genealogy. No death can be found for Joseph, but the 1748 probate of John Toppan (case 27840) lists only daughters as heirs, with no mention of Joseph, so it seems probable this is the identity of the Elizabeth Toppan who married Eleazer Johnson.
