  2. ↑ Source:Torrey, Clarence Almon. New England Marriages Prior to 1700 indicates that this Sarah Laland is Sarah (---) Laland, the widow of Eliezer. His only cited source seems to be Source:Warner, Frederick Chester. Ancestry of Samuel, Freda and John Warner, p. 403, which cites Source:Morse, Abner. Genealogical Register of the Inhabitants and History of the Towns of Sherborn and Holliston, which says this on p. 25 with no explanation or evidence. Thus, the basis for this assertion is unknown, and Morse is known to contain many errors, but no other Sarah Leland has been found.
