ELBERT B. NIXON
Funeral services for Elbert B. Nixon were held Saturday afternoon at the Elliot chapel with Rev. Frank B. Hillis officiating. During the services two appropriate selections were sung by Clide Carr with Mrs. Carr at the piano.
Friends serving as casketbeareres were H. C. Corneliuson, Orville Conrad, August Viano, Jacob L. Hemmer, Andrew Dunsire and Carl mason. Intermen (sic) was in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.
Obituary
Elbert Beecher Nixon was born May 7, 1869, in Wintersvelle (sic), Ohio. When he was 21 years of age he moved to Arvada (sic), Colorado where he took up a homestad and engaged in stock raising. On June 2, 1898, Mr. Nixon was united in marriage to Mary(sic) Mallock in Flagler, Colorado. To this union three children were born, all of whome survive: Mrs. Irene Wilke of the Lower Valley, Crawford Nixon of Kalispell, and Donald Nixon who is now making his home in Tacoma Washington.
In 1906 Mr. Nixon and family moved to the Flathead to make their home and until 1928, when he retired, he was engaed (sic) in business., and since that time has made his home with his children. Mrs. Nixon passed away in November 1910.
Besides this daughter and two sons he is survived by three brothers: Andrew of Richmond, Ohio; Frank of Vancouver, Wash., and Bailey of San Francisco; also one sister, Mrs. Fanny Minor of Cadiz, Ohio.
