He languished in prison till February 13, 1865, when he was paroled and sent to Richmond. In the same year he returned home, resuming his occupation of farming. He was united in marriage to Miss Sarah L. E. Grayson, by whom he had six children: Edwin H., John R., Robert L, Elmer J., Sarah E., and Price G.
