1910 Census

Edward and Anna Zeigler live at the corner of Bradby and [possibly] Fourth or Fifth (the handwriting for the street names is difficult to read). The location is near Aquidneck, where they later live, however, as that is the next street indexed in this census page. They are both 40 years old and have been married for 14 years. They have no children. Edward was born in Connecticut, though his parents were born in Germany. Anna was born in Germany. Edward is a laborer at the Silver Mfg Co. Anna does housework in a private home.

1920 Census

Edward and Anna Ziegler live at 45 Aquidneck St., a rented apartment. They are both 48 years old. Edward was born in Massachusetts (though his parents are from Germany). Anna was born in Germany, immigrated in 1892 or 1872 [see Person:Anna Becht (1) for details], and was naturalized in 1897. Both can read and write. Edward works as a gardener for a florist. Anna is a matron at the Court House.

1930 Census

Edward and Annie Ziegler live at 45 Aquidneck St., a rented apartment, where they pay $16/month. They are both age 60 and have been married fro 25 years. Edward was born in Rhode Island, though his parents were born in Germany. Annie was born in Germany. Edward cannot read and write; Annie can. Annie immigrated in 1892, and has been naturalized. Edward is not employed; Annie is a matron at the Court.
